For the redolent traveler North India offers a diverse array of tourist attractions steeped in historic or religious significance or natural beauty or  cultural experience.

In the extreme north Kashmir is considered as the ‘Heaven on Earth’ due to its resplendent natural beauty come Summer or Winter. Ladakh very near to the Kashmir Valleys is a ‘Cold Desert’ with its rugged terrain and sublime attraction in its solitude and altitude. The hill stations of Himachal like Kullu, Manali, Shimla, Dalhousie, Dharamshala  or those in Uttaranchal like places of Nainital, Bhimtal, Ranikhet, Binsar, Mussoorie, Kanahtal, Dhanaulti, or places of religious importance like Hardwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Rudraprayag etc.  provide a wide variety of choice.  Down the plains Delhi is both Capital of the Country, a metropolis and a place of historic importance. It houses the Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid, Agrasen-ki-Bowli etc. Agra, very near to Delhi, is another historic town that boasts of  the legendary Taj Mahal- a Wonder Of the World monument alongwith  Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri of historic importance.  The historical monuments and mementos of Rajasthan and the Game safaris of Corbett, Ranthambhore and Sariska are quite popular and commands repeat visits frequently. Places like Mathura, Vrindaban, Meerut, Garhmukteshwar, Lucknow,  Allahabad, Varanasi, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Kurukshetra  and numerous other places around offers touristic options of wide variety.
